Now this is an old parody of the iPod but hey I guess it’s more humorous now that the iPad is the name for an actual product.

Well I think the product name is a horrible idea I can see so many people not trying to laugh when then say that they bought the iPad, it sound’s like a product Tampax created. But seriously I think this device would be good for universities and schools to replace textbooks with and that’s about it. So tell me what you think of the Apple iPad?

Well, I for one have never been inside a Microsoft Windows store and this video is the first time that I’ve ever seen the inside of one before. And not only do they look exactly like the Apple Computer Stores, but the sad thing is they make their workers do a flash mob like dance to the song “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Pea’s. When I saw this video I felt sorry for the people who had to work there and the people shopping there. If you noticed the customers of the store are trying to ignore the workers dancing & the workers in the store should be wearing t-shirts that fit (what Microsoft to cheap to give their workers the right size t-shirts), so everyone please leave a comment on what you think of the video.

Apple today also announced features mac os x snow leopard. Snow Leopard is going to be a 64-bit operating system. They also put expose into the dock. This allows you to organize your windows. You can draw charters for languages with by using your finger on the touch pad on the laptops. And a new version of quicktime called quicktime X. Which has a new cleaner interface and the controls fade when watching video and you get a time line of your video. Another feature of quicktime is sharing you can upload video to youtube, itunes and mobile me.
They also introduced a new version of safari 4 on snow leopard. The new version has a crash resistance feature. And it’s available for download on apple website.
Mail, i cal and address book will have support for Microsoft exchange in snow leopard.
Snow leopard will be only on intel based mac’s. And it’s a $129 dollars at retail price and $29 dollars if you are upgrading from leopard. the family pack is $49 dollars. And will be available in September.
Am glad to hear more things on the snow leopard. I neglected to mention the new technologies that snow leopard will have. Snow leopard will have the ability to take advantage of mutilcore processors with use of grand central station, which is built into the operating system. Snow leopard will also have open cl, which allows the graphics processor to be used for general purpose computing. With this technology the graphics processor will not be limited to just games and graphic intensive applications. And I love that the mac will now have Microsoft exchange support, I myself don’t need it but it’s always good to have that for people who do need it. I love that it’s going to be 29 dollars for mac ox leopard users. And I love that quicktime has a new user interface I think quicktime needs to be updated. I do wish they would have gone more in depth with the opencl and the grad central station that I assume will make the mac run more smoother.

The 13-inch macbook a led back lite keyboard and fire wire 800. And its being sold for $1,199 with a 2.26ghz core 2 duo processor, 2gbs of memory and 160gb hard drive, nvida 9400m graphics card, sd card slot and firewire 800. They have dropped the macbook name and renamed it macbook pro. The 1,499 model has a 2.53 ghz core 2 duo processor with 4 gigabytes of memory and nvida 9400m graphics card 250 gigabytes of hard drive space and an sd card slot and fire wire 800. Both the 13-inch and the 15-inch both have new displays. They also updated the macbook air models starting at $1,499 it has a 1.86ghz core 2 duo processor, 2 gigabytes off ddr 3 memory and a 120 gb hard drive. And at 1,799 comes with a 2.13 ghz care 2 duo processor, 2gbs of ddr3 memory, 9400m nvida graphics card and a 128 gigabyte solid state drive.
Well I saw this coming with the refresh of the cheapest macbook. And I am glad that they put a lot of the features that the pro has into the lower end laptops. I think they should have done this from the start it would have made them more profit. I am personally upset since I just bought a macbook about four months ago and now it’s obsolete so now I have to trade in my laptop and get a new one. Am still wondering what they are going to use that firewire 800 port for. They could use it for video cameras I think most devices just use usb 2.0 now.
